The TOA EV-700PS is a 1U rack-mount digital announcing machine designed for AV integrators and system engineers managing scheduled and emergency audio in commercial facilities, transit environments, retail spaces, and public venues. It handles periodic announcements, attention-calling chimes, and guided broadcasts from a centrally managed sound library, replacing less flexible playback solutions that lack network control or emergency priority routing.

The unit stores up to 32,768 individual phrases across 256 programs and supports both direct and binary playback modes, giving system designers precise control over announcement sequencing. Sound sources can be updated remotely over a 100BASE-TX LAN connection using the EV-700 setting software, eliminating the need for on-site media swaps during routine content updates. Emergency messages override all active programs instantly, a critical requirement for life-safety and code-compliant PA installations.

With 16 control inputs and 8 control outputs on removable terminal blocks, the EV-700PS integrates cleanly into building management systems, fire alarm interfaces, and relay-triggered automation. Dual CompactFlash card slots support backup operation, and the included AD-246 AC adapter and pre-loaded memory card allow the unit to be commissioned immediately. The optional MB-15B rack mounting bracket adapts the unit to standard EIA racks for permanent installed-sound deployments.
