The TOA HX-7 series is a 2-way compact array speaker system engineered for installed sound applications where directivity control is critical. Wavefront control technology addresses the core challenge of reverberant rooms, covered outdoor venues, transit hubs, and facilities with elevated background noise by maintaining consistent horizontal coverage while allowing the vertical dispersion angle to be adjusted for the specific geometry of each installation. This makes it a strong fit for houses of worship, convention halls, sports facilities, and any environment where a standard point-source cabinet would generate excess reflections or uneven coverage.
The modular design consists of four integrated speaker modules that can be individually adjusted to shape the vertical pattern, including a 0-degree mode that facilitates a line array configuration. The built-in isophasic wavefront control horn with compression drivers provides precise high-frequency control across a wide frequency range. IPX4 weather resistance supports under-eave outdoor installation, extending the system's applicability to covered outdoor stadiums, building facades, and open-air transit platforms. The polypropylene enclosure resists environmental wear, and the sealed enclosure type contributes to predictable low-frequency behavior in permanent installs.
