TOA M-804EX-AM Four Port Expander For M-8080D Mixers

The TOA M-804EX-AM is an extension module designed exclusively for use with the M-8080D digital mixer. It connects directly to the M-8080D via an RD port, drawing 24V DC power from the host unit and eliminating the need for a separate power supply at the expansion point. The module enables a star connection topology for controllers, which simplifies cabling runs in installed audio environments where distributed control points are required across a venue.

This expander is suited for installed sound integrators building out paging, conference, or public address systems around the M-8080D platform. With one digital input port from the host mixer, one digital output carrying both audio and control, and three additional digital outputs dedicated to control only, the M-804EX-AM gives integrators the flexibility to branch controller connections to multiple locations from a single node. A network router is required for the broader M-8080D system setup, and all RD port connections must use shielded Category 5 cables or higher with shielded connectors to maintain signal integrity.
