The TOA NM-01-AM is a plug-in sound masking module engineered for integration with TOA modular amplifier platforms, including the BG-2000, 700 Series, 900mkII Series, and 9000M2 Series. It is designed for AV integrators and system designers specifying audio privacy solutions in open-plan offices, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, or any environment where speech intelligibility between zones must be controlled. The module generates band-limited analog pink noise, which is the standard signal type used in commercial sound masking deployments to render nearby conversations unintelligible without creating a distracting acoustic environment.
Unlike standalone masking processors that require separate rack space and additional cabling, the NM-01-AM draws power directly from the host amplifier and occupies a standard module slot, keeping the system footprint compact and the installation straightforward. The built-in send/return processor loop supports connection of an external equalizer or other signal processing hardware, giving the integrator precise spectral control over the masking curve to meet room acoustic targets. A dry-contact mute input enables remote on/off control from a building management system, scheduling relay, or simple wall switch, making scheduled or zone-based masking practical without additional hardware.
