The TOA U-14R is a plug-in input priority module built for commercial installed audio environments where a business music source and an on-premises jukebox or CD player must share the same amplifier. Designed to seat directly into TOA 900 Series and BG-1000 Series amplifiers, it handles source management in hardware so no external switcher or mixer is required. The JUKE input automatically takes priority whenever a signal is present, and BGM audio is only passed when no jukebox signal is detected, keeping transitions seamless and unattended.

Each input accommodates left and right signals through stereo-summing RCA jacks, internally mixing the stereo pair to a mono output suited for distributed audio systems. The JUKE input includes Automatic Gain Control to level out the wide variation in output levels common across consumer jukebox equipment, while individual input level controls let installers calibrate each source during commissioning. The adjustable gate threshold gives the technician control over how sensitive the jukebox detection circuit is, preventing noise floor from triggering a false priority switch.

For installations using 900 Series amplifiers, both BGM and JUKE outputs can be silenced via the two MUTE BUS signal channels, integrating cleanly with paging, emergency override, or zone control systems. The module format keeps the signal chain compact and fully contained within the amplifier chassis, a practical advantage in back-of-house equipment rooms where rack space and cable runs are at a premium.
