  • Gen 2 Apollo X Converters Deliver The Widest Dynamic Range And Lowest Distortion In Apollo History
  • Unison Preamp Technology Physically Models Impedance And Gain Of Classic Hardware Preamps In Realtime
  • HEXA Core DSP Enables Complex UAD Plug-In Chains Without Taxing Host CPU Resources
  • Apollo Monitor Correction Powered By Sonarworks Calibrates Monitor And Headphone Outputs For Accurate Playback
  • Auto-Gain Automatically Sets Optimal Input Levels Across Multiple Channels Simultaneously
  • Bass Management Integrates A Subwoofer Into Monitor Setup For Full-Range Low-End Reference
  • Expandable Via Thunderbolt Daisy-Chaining Or Dante For Scalable Multi-Unit Studio Configurations

The Apollo x8p Gen 2 is built for professional producers and recording engineers who demand elite-class conversion, deep analog emulation, and onboard DSP horsepower in a single rack unit. With eight Unison mic preamps that physically reconfigure input impedance to authentically replicate classic hardware from Neve, API, Avalon, and others, it eliminates the compromise between tracking speed and tone. The Gen 2 design advances the Apollo X lineage with UA's highest-resolution D/A converters yet, delivering a 130 dB dynamic range on monitor outputs and THD of -127 dB — performance that positions it above competing Thunderbolt interfaces in its class.

For studio integration, the Apollo x8p Gen 2 handles large-format sessions with 16 x 22 simultaneous I/O in ADAT mode, dual Thunderbolt 3 ports for daisy-chaining up to four Apollo units, and HEXA Core DSP that sustains real-time UAD plug-in processing without taxing the host CPU. Apollo Monitor Correction powered by Sonarworks brings reference-grade calibration to any monitoring environment, making mix decisions translate reliably regardless of room or headphone. The UAD Console app consolidates routing, Auto-Gain, Bass Management, 7.1 surround support, and Plug-In Scenes into a single workflow hub compatible with LUNA, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, and Ableton Live.

The UAD Analog Classics bundle included with this SKU delivers over 30 production-ready plug-ins at launch — spanning compressors, channel strips, EQs, tape emulations, reverbs, and guitar amps — giving engineers an immediately deployable toolkit drawn from the full UAD library of 200-plus titles. Expandability over Thunderbolt or Dante ensures the interface scales with growing studio demands.
