What separates the EV2 from competing SSL emulations is the inclusion of the O2 Brown EQ, a rare circuit variant found only in certain SSL 4000E consoles and absent from every previous Waves SSL plugin. Combined with the new mic preamp saturation stage, the EV2 extends the tonal range available to the engineer beyond what any prior software version of this console could provide.
