The Waves WSG-HY128 is a purpose-built HY-slot expansion card designed for live sound engineers and production teams running Yamaha RIVAGE PM series consoles who need native Waves plugin processing without breaking console-centric workflows. By seating directly into the RIVAGE PM HY expansion slot, the card creates a 128-channel bidirectional audio bridge between the console DSP engine and the Waves SoundGrid network, giving engineers access to reverbs, EQs, compressors, dynamics, and vocal processing at ultra-low latency inside the console environment they already operate.
Connection to a SoundGrid-compatible Waves server is handled over a standard CAT cable, eliminating the need for separate analog or digital interface hardware between the console and the plugin processing chain. The card is compatible with the full RIVAGE PM range, including the PM10, PM10V2, PM7, and PM3, and operates in conjunction with Waves SuperRack SoundGrid software on the server side. Beyond real-time plugin processing, the WSG-HY128 also enables I/O expansion, multitrack recording, and playback routing across the SoundGrid network, making it a practical infrastructure upgrade for touring productions and installed RIVAGE systems that demand flexible signal routing alongside plugin access.
