Its CMP NEC designation satisfies fire code requirements in commercial and broadcast facilities where standard cables cannot be used, making it a practical choice for above-ceiling and air-handling plenum pathways without conduit.

The twisted-pair construction with 100% aluminum polyester foil shielding and a drain wire positioned inside the foil shield delivers consistent EMI and RFI rejection across long runs in electrically dense rack environments and broadcast suites. ASTM tinned copper conductors resist oxidation over time, preserving connection integrity at patch points and terminal blocks. At 22 AWG with FEP insulation, the cable maintains flexibility in tight plenum spaces while meeting the stringent NFPA 262 flame rating required by UL and cUL listings.
