The Whirlwind PRESSPOWER 3 is the direct successor to the PRESSPOWER and PRESSPOWER 2, units that established the benchmark for active press-feed distribution in broadcast and live event production. Designed for press conferences, media scrums, and multi-outlet audio distribution, it serves broadcast engineers, A1s, and production coordinators who need reliable, low-noise signal splitting to multiple outlets simultaneously.

Each output is transformer-isolated and individually switchable between mic and line level, giving engineers the flexibility to feed a mix of broadcast recorders, ENG cameras, and mixing consoles from a single source without ground loops or signal degradation. Multiple mic and line inputs with individual gain controls accommodate a range of source levels, while phantom power support extends compatibility to condenser microphones.

The built-in headphone monitor amplifier allows the operator to verify signal integrity at the box itself, eliminating the need for a separate confidence monitor. An internal test tone generator streamlines pre-show setup and line checks, making the PRESSPOWER 3 a self-sufficient solution for time-sensitive press environments where setup windows are tight and signal reliability is non-negotiable.
