The Yamaha CS-800 targets AV integrators and IT teams deploying professional collaboration infrastructure in huddle rooms, small conference rooms, and open workspaces where ceiling microphone arrays or separate PTZ cameras are impractical. A single USB-C connection to a host PC activates the camera, microphone array, and speaker simultaneously, eliminating the multi-device signal chains that complicate smaller room deployments and increase support overhead.
At the core of the CS-800 is Yamaha's proprietary SoundCap Eye technology, which combines face-focus beamforming with automatic participant tracking, self-silence processing, and self-volume balancing. The system continuously analyzes both video and audio data to keep the active speaker centered on screen and intelligible to remote participants, without requiring manual camera operation. The 4K wide-angle lens supports smart framing modes including group, individual, and speaker-tracking views, with configurable PTZ presets accessible from the included remote. Adaptive echo cancellation, noise reduction, automatic gain control, dereverberation, and automatic room EQ run simultaneously in the signal chain, reducing the acoustic treatment requirements that would otherwise be necessary in reflective or reverberant spaces.
For integrators, the CS-800 supports tabletop, wall, and display-mount installations using included and optional hardware, and connects to room displays via HDMI 1.4. The Yamaha CS Manager software provides remote device monitoring, firmware management, network configuration, and security settings across Windows, macOS, and Chrome OS environments, making it viable for managed IT deployments at scale. Optional long-run USB 3.2 cables extend reach without signal degradation for rooms where the display and the collaboration endpoint are not co-located.
