Hollyland at SALT 2026: Wireless Intercom for Teams That Talk

Join SoundPro and Hollyland in The SoundPro Main Stage Experience at SALT 2026 on Thursday, October 15 at 4:00pm. Great productions feel effortless out front because the team behind the scenes is communicating in real time. Hollyland Solidcom wireless intercoms keep everyone connected: the Solidcom H1-10S is a complete 10 person kit that scales to 30 beltpacks with no central station and up to 80 with the Geo Central Station, while the Solidcom M1 Pro delivers full-duplex 1.9 GHz communication with dual-mic noise cancelling headsets for crews of up to 8 beltpacks per base station. No license fees, simple setup, and clear talk in loud rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a full-duplex wireless intercom, and how is it different from push-to-talk radios?

Full-duplex means everyone can talk and listen at the same time, just like a phone call. There is no push-to-talk button to hold and no stepping on each other's transmissions. Hollyland Solidcom systems are built this way, so camera operators, stage managers, and sound techs can have a natural back and forth while the show is running.

  • Can the Solidcom H1 connect to our existing wired intercom and Dante network?

Yes. The H1 includes rear panel 2-wire and 4-wire interfaces for tying into existing wired intercom systems, plus Dante-capable network ports for larger installations. The M1 Pro also has 2-wire and 4-wire interfaces and can connect to other Hollyland intercom systems over the 4-wire interface, which makes it much easier to add wireless without ripping out what already works.

  • Solidcom H1 vs Solidcom M1 Pro: which one fits my team?

The M1 Pro is a great fit for small to mid-sized crews. One base station supports 8 beltpacks with up to 3 communication groups, and you can cascade a second base station to grow the system. The H1-10S is the bigger platform: a 10 person kit that expands to 30 beltpacks and 12 groups with no central station, or up to 80 beltpacks and 100 groups with the Geo Central Station, with Dante compatibility and roaming coverage across zones.

  • Is a license-free wireless intercom practical for school theaters, athletics, and broadcast clubs?

It is a strong fit. Solidcom systems run on the license-free 1.9 GHz band, so there are no license fees or frequency coordination paperwork to worry about. The noise cancelling headsets keep voices clear in loud gyms and busy backstage areas, and the system grows with your program, from a small theater crew to a full athletics and broadcast team.

  • Can volunteers with no audio training actually use a wireless intercom?

That is exactly who it is built to help. M1 Pro beltpacks come ready to use with simple TALK, MUTE, group select, and volume controls, and the headset mic switches on and off as you raise or lower the boom. On the H1, the SmartApp handles grouping and monitoring from a phone, so you can set up role based channels, like camera, lighting, and lobby, and volunteers just pick up a beltpack and go.

  • What is dual-mic ENC, and how does 1.9 GHz keep the signal clean?

ENC stands for Environmental Noise Cancellation. Dual-mic ENC on the M1 Pro uses two microphones to block background noise so the person on the other end hears your voice, not the room, with an ENC level of 20 dB. The 1.9 GHz band helps avoid interference from the other wireless devices common at busy events, and automatic frequency hopping picks a clear frequency so communication stays interference free.
