The ALF-WP70S-UB is designed for AV integrators and installation professionals who need a clean, permanent source-switching solution at the presentation point. Fitting a standard US single-gang Decora-style opening, it combines a 2x1 switcher with an HDBaseT transmitter in one compact wall plate, accepting HDMI and USB-C sources with no external power brick required at the transmitter thanks to Power over Ethernet delivered from the included receiver.
The kit supports 4K at 60Hz 4:4:4 up to 328 feet over CAT6, CAT6a, or CAT7 cable, covering most installed room geometries without a separate amplifier. Full HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 compliance ensures compatibility with protected 4K content, while HDR10 and HDR10+ pass-through preserves full dynamic range from compatible sources. Audio support spans TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, DTS:X, and PCM up to 8 channels, making the unit suitable for conference rooms, classrooms, and boardrooms that require high-fidelity playback alongside video.
The included receiver adds USB 2.0 extension for connecting peripherals such as cameras or room control devices at the far end, a feature commonly required in huddle rooms and hybrid-meeting spaces where the codec or PC sits at the rack. Input selection operates in both automatic and manual modes, reducing the need for manual intervention during transitions between laptop and room sources. A dedicated USB-C charging port on the wall plate keeps presenter devices topped off without an additional outlet.
