The Ashly ne8250.25pe is built for AV integrators and system designers who need scalable, network-controlled amplification in installed sound environments. Its Class-D output stage paired with a switching power supply delivers high efficiency in rack-mounted deployments where heat management and power draw are operational priorities. The onboard Protea DSP processor handles both input and output signal processing, eliminating the need for separate DSP hardware and reducing rack footprint in conference rooms, houses of worship, airports, and distributed audio installations.
Network integration is handled natively via standard 10/100 Ethernet using Ashly's Protea ne Software, allowing remote gain control, monitoring, and full parameter adjustment without proprietary control hardware. The pe variant adds FIR filter capability, making it suitable for applications requiring linear phase response across speaker arrays. DC voltage remote gain control, remote power switching, and the ability to lock out front panel controls via software give integrators the management tools needed for unattended or restricted-access installations. Note that Protea products support IPv4 only and do not support IPv6.
The 25V constant-voltage output configuration targets distributed speaker systems in commercial installs where long cable runs and multi-tap speaker wiring are standard. Selectable HPF frequencies on the 25V model, temperature-sensitive variable-speed fan cooling with side-to-front airflow, and stepped calibrated input attenuators round out a feature set designed for reliable, long-term installed operation rather than touring or temporary deployment.
