The AtlasIED FAP8CXT serves integrators and system designers who need precise pattern control in venues with high ceilings and complex acoustics. Unlike wide-dispersion ceiling speakers that require multiple units and risk comb filtering, the FAP8CXT's 90° conical pattern concentrates output where it's needed, reducing SPL variance at coverage edges and simplifying system design in demanding commercial and institutional spaces.
The 1" compression driver coupled to a conical wave-guide horn delivers exceptional output and accurate high-frequency reproduction across the 60 Hz to 15 kHz range. The factory-tuned, ported galvanized steel enclosure optimizes low-frequency response, while the 60-watt low-saturation transformer provides selectable taps from 1.9 W to 60 W at 70.7V, plus an 8 ohm bypass for direct coupling to low-impedance amplifiers. Front-mounted tap selection enables system tuning without ceiling access, and the "trap door" input section accommodates through-conduit runs for cleaner installations.
