The AtlasIED 221-18 is a welded steel rack cabinet designed for systems integrators and AV installers who need a reliable, cost-effective enclosure for permanent installations. Constructed from 16-gauge CRS with 11-gauge CRS adjustable mounting rails, this cabinet delivers the structural rigidity required for fully loaded rack systems in boardrooms, classrooms, houses of worship, and commercial AV environments.
An expanded 6RU opening in both the top and bottom of the cabinet gives installers flexible wire management and ventilation options — leave them open for airflow or close them with standard vent or solid panels depending on site requirements. Conduit knockouts are located on top, bottom, and rear flanges, supporting clean raceway integration for structured wiring projects. The removable rear door uses quick-release spring hinges that allow 180-degree rotation for right- or left-hand opening, streamlining access during installation and maintenance.
Precision 10-32 tapped rails are recessed 11/16" and marked with RU indicator hash marks for fast, accurate equipment alignment. A textured black epoxy finish applied over phosphate pre-treatment ensures long-term durability in installed environments. The cylinder-locked rear door and optional separately keyed front door provide layered access control for shared or public facilities.
