Football stadiums, baseball fields, sports arenas, convention centers, and auditoriums are the primary targets — environments where uncontrolled dispersion destroys intelligibility and where equipment is exposed to the elements year-round.
A concentrically mounted 1" exit compression driver coupled to a constant directivity HF horn delivers consistent 65° horizontal by 65° vertical coverage, making aiming and system design predictable. The cast frame 8" woofer extends low-end response to 90Hz, giving this horn genuine full-range performance rather than the narrow-band output typical of pure paging horns. With a sensitivity of 100dB at 1W/1m and a maximum output of 120dB, the AH66-8T-BSG produces the SPL required to cut through crowd noise without over-driving the system.
Weather resistance is addressed at multiple levels: a perforated aluminum screen protects the horn mouth, a secondary screen shields the HF driver, a tightly perforated third screen guards the woofer, and a weep hole in the horn bell prevents condensation buildup. A heavy-duty mounting bracket is included, simplifying surface installation on concrete, steel, or structural framing common in stadium infrastructure. The 70V/100V transformer with multiple wattage taps integrates directly into distributed audio systems without additional hardware.
