The AtlasIED ALX-48D is a digitally steerable column array loudspeaker built for acoustically difficult installed sound projects where speech clarity and controlled coverage are essential. Designed for large reverberant environments such as transportation facilities, worship spaces, and other public venues, it uses granular beam steering to direct energy toward listeners while reducing reflections from ceilings and other hard surfaces.
With Dante and AES67 networked audio support built in, the ALX-48D fits modern AV infrastructures without relying on external network bridges. Its multichannel DSP and amplifier architecture gives system designers precise control over beam shape, vertical opening angle, steering, and acoustic center placement across the length of the array. Split beam deployment further expands flexibility when coverage requirements vary within the same space.
