The AtlasIED AP-S20RT is built for AV integrators and system designers who need more than passive surge protection in permanent installations. It addresses the full spectrum of AC power threats — RFI from nearby transmitters, EMI from motors and switching supplies, and destructive voltage spikes up to 6kV — through layered filtering and suppression circuitry that responds within a nanosecond and sustains protection up to 2 milliseconds. The Extreme Voltage Shutdown function continuously monitors line voltage and disconnects switched outlets if conditions fall outside safe thresholds, with a front-panel LED providing immediate visual confirmation of any shutdown event.
For controlled environments like conference rooms, courtrooms, and broadcast facilities, the Remote Activation input supports latched dry contact closure or 5V–24VDC triggering, allowing the entire switched outlet bank to be powered on or off from a control system, wall panel, or relay. The same circuit supports an Emergency Power Down function, making integration with fire control panels and life-safety systems straightforward. A rear-mounted bypass switch overrides remote activation when direct local control is needed, and a 12VDC output at the rear XLR connector powers a remote status LED to confirm system state at a distance.
With a 1U rack form factor, nine total outlets distributed across front and rear panels, a front USB charging port, and a 20A circuit breaker, the AP-S20RT consolidates power conditioning, protection, and system control into a single rack space — eliminating the need for separate suppression, switching, and control hardware in professionally installed AV racks.
