When paired with the ECS-6RM or ECS-3 Sequence Controller, the ECM-20SH activates Extreme Voltage Shutdown Circuitry (EVS), which automatically disconnects at unsafe line voltages and enables real-time voltage and current monitoring. This makes it a practical choice for permanent installs where remote power management and system health visibility are priorities.
For integrators evaluating this against basic surge strips or competing conditioners, the ECM-20SH adds a Manual Bypass Switch, an AC Fault Indicator, and RFI/EMI filtering stages that address interference from electric motors and switching power supplies — common noise sources in AV racks.
