The Atlona Rondo 448 is a professional-grade HDMI distribution amplifier designed for integrators and system designers deploying 4K/UHD HDR video infrastructure in commercial and residential installations. It accepts a single HDMI source and delivers eight amplified outputs, making it ideal for applications where one 4K display feed must serve multiple zone displays, digital signage networks, or multi-room entertainment systems. The amplifier fully supports emerging HDR formats including HDR10, Dolby Vision at 60Hz, and HLG for broadcast services, plus 4:4:4 chroma sampling for pristine color accuracy.
The Rondo 448 incorporates EDID management to negotiate optimal video resolution and audio format between source and displays, eliminating resolution mismatches and format incompatibilities. Integrated audio de-embedding extracts PCM stereo to unbalanced analog RCA outputs and bitstream or PCM audio to coaxial S/PDIF, enabling seamless integration with legacy AV receivers and distributed audio systems. The unit supports cascading up to eight units in series without performance degradation, allowing scalable multi-zone designs. Field-updatable firmware ensures the amplifier remains current with evolving HDMI specifications. Housed in a compact 1U rack-mount enclosure with front-panel status LEDs and bundled with 19-inch rack brackets, it deploys quickly in both retrofit and new-build AV systems.
