The Audio-Technica D50 half-rack wireless receiver delivers professional UHF operation with switchable diversity architecture. Users can select between antenna combining diversity for typical RF environments or MRC true diversity for complex interference scenarios. The receiver operates across a full tuning bandwidth up to 138 MHz in the U.S. (244 MHz internationally), offering flexible frequency planning in congested spectrum. Standard mode delivers 17 frequencies per 6 MHz TV channel; HD mode increases density to 47 frequencies when urban RF demands higher packing efficiency.
Onboard DSP includes a high-pass filter, 4-band EQ, and compressor for each channel, accessible through the front-panel display or Wireless Manager software. AES256 encryption secures transmissions. PoE+ power and AC adapter inputs provide dual-redundant powering; if AC drops out, PoE+ maintains operation. Audio-Technica LINK networking enables system-wide monitoring and configuration, including spectrum analysis, IR sync, and advanced walk test functions. Multipoint receiver operation allows a transmitter to be detected by multiple networked receivers, with Wireless Manager automatically switching to the best signal source.
The included short and long rack-mount adapters allow one receiver to occupy half a rack space, or two receivers to be joined across a full space. Fan-assisted cooling and front intake/rear exhaust airflow support continuous operation in touring racks and fixed installations. Wireless Manager handles firmware updates and system-wide EQ and compression configuration for integrated workflow management.
