The Biamp CCA-80 is engineered for system designers and integrators tasked with speech reinforcement and background music distribution in long, narrow spaces such as sports complexes, shopping malls, hotel corridors, and themed entertainment venues. Where traditional horn speakers produce uneven sound pressure levels that drop off with distance, the CCA-80 maintains consistent SPL across its entire coverage zone, supporting both intelligible voice paging and full-range music reproduction from 115 Hz to 14 kHz.
Its asymmetric vertical waveguide pairs a narrow upper horn for long-throw projection with a wider, attenuated lower section that fills nearby coverage zones. The downward-tilted enclosure reduces the precision aiming typically required during install, keeping labor time and site-adjustment costs down. The coverage distance is rated at six times the mounting height, making placement calculations straightforward for large-venue deployments at heights up to 36 feet. Dual loudspeaker options further reduce total system cost compared to competing premium solutions by simplifying mounting hardware requirements.
Integration into distributed audio systems is simplified by selectable low-impedance or 70V/100V constant-voltage operation via onboard jumper, removing the need for external transformers in most installs.
