Installed into any Mac, Windows, or Linux workstation with an 8 or 16-lane Gen 3 PCIe slot, the card delivers bidirectional Quad Link 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.1 connections that cover every relevant video standard from SD through 8K DCI — including high-frame-rate modes up to 4320p60 over SDI and HDMI. For facilities running DCI pipelines, the card's native 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 sampling and full Rec. 2020 color space support mean no compromises between camera-native quality and editorial delivery.

Where competing 8K capture options either sacrifice bit depth at higher resolutions or require external breakout hardware, the DeckLink 8K Pro G2 consolidates bidirectional SDI and HDMI on a single card with an RS-422 remote control output, Tri-Sync and Black Burst sync inputs, and 16-channel embedded SDI audio. Hardware-based colorspace conversion on output reduces CPU overhead, while deep codec support — including Apple ProRes 4444, DNxHR, DPX, and uncompressed 10-bit 4:4:4 — keeps the card compatible with virtually every professional NLE and color grading application. DaVinci Resolve is included at no additional cost, adding immediate production value for facilities evaluating or expanding their color grading infrastructure.
