The Bogen SM4T is a speaker transformer for surface-mount ceiling speakers, listed alongside the Easy-Install SM1EZ. It is aimed at integrators, contractors, and AV technicians building distributed audio in offices, schools, retail spaces, houses of worship, and similar commercial buildings, where many ceiling speakers share one amplifier line instead of each getting a dedicated run.

A transformer like this is what lets a ceiling speaker connect to a constant-voltage line, so choosing the matching part matters at the design stage and again at the punch list. Pairing the SM4T with the speaker it is listed with removes guesswork on site. The documented compatibility with CK10, CK10B, and CK10W cable kits and the TBCR tile bridge ceiling support ring also lets you plan the surrounding hardware before you place the order.

Compared with a generic transformer, a Bogen-specific part keeps the speaker, transformer, and ceiling hardware inside one manufacturer's system. That simplifies submittals, ordering, and service for repeat commercial work.
