Bogen TEL1S Telephone Advanced Input Module With Gating And Ducking

Bogen's TEL1S is aimed at integrators and AV technicians who need a telephone feed to behave predictably when it shares a system with music, announcements, and other program sources. The module puts level, tone, and dynamic handling at the point where the telephone signal enters, so the source can be tuned once and left alone.

Typical jobs include installed paging, meeting room, and facility audio designs where a call has to take precedence over background material without a jarring cut. Priority levels and bus assignment let a designer decide where telephone audio lands and what it overrides, while ducking and fade back keep everything else from dropping out abruptly.

For stereo sources, the SAX1R module adds a summing option that folds the signal to mono, and RCA jacks keep hookup simple with common source gear. Compared with a plain line input, this Bogen telephone input module consolidates gating, muting, and priority handling in one place, which means fewer add-on processors to specify, wire, and troubleshoot, and keeps the signal chain easier to document for the next technician.
