Unlike consumer or portable subwoofers, the STS118E is designed from the ground up for fixed installation. Its exterior-grade birch plywood enclosure, powder-coated perforated stainless steel grille, and IP55-rated construction make it suitable for semi-exposed and direct-exposure outdoor deployments without additional weatherproofing. Four stainless-steel M10 suspension points allow it to be flown when architectural sightlines demand it, while the enclosure is equally optimized for ground-stacked placement — giving system designers genuine deployment flexibility on a single SKU.
The universal pole cup accepts both standard 35 mm and M20-threaded poles, supporting full-range loudspeaker mounting in temporary or hybrid configurations. When integrated with Bose Professional AMU, AMM, or Forum full-range systems, processors, and amplifiers, the STS118E delivers a predictable, scalable low-frequency foundation designed to match the voicing and headroom of the broader Bose Professional ecosystem.
