The Chauvet DJ Intimidator Trio XD is built for mobile DJs, touring entertainers, and production companies who need maximum output versatility without multiplying fixture counts or cabling complexity. A single unit covers narrow precision beam work, broad wash coverage, and rotating honeycomb effect output through a motorized zoom and continuously rotating multi-lens optic. That combination replaces what would otherwise require two or three separate fixture types on a rig, reducing truck space, setup time, and power draw.
The carbon fiber composite housing gives the Trio XD a structural advantage over metal-shell competitors in the same class. It resists corrosion and handles the repeated load-in and load-out cycles of road work without adding unnecessary weight to the fly rig. The built-in D-Fi transceiver handles wireless DMX and master/slave linking without signal cables between units, and the built-in RF receiver adds a second wireless control path via optional IRC remotes. A USB-C port makes firmware updates a field-serviceable task rather than a shop repair.
For operators running multi-fixture rigs, auto programs with zone control generate synchronized looks across groups of units without any console programming. Totem mode keeps output trained on the dance floor regardless of pan and tilt movement, and a full-color LCD display lets you set, save, and recall a custom scene in real time. Power linking supports up to four units on a single 120V circuit, and both 3-pin and 5-pin XLR connectors ensure compatibility with any DMX infrastructure already in use.
