The Countryman EMW is a professional omnidirectional lavalier designed for sound engineers and production teams who need reliable concealment and clean audio across broadcast, film, theater, corporate, and house of worship applications. Its engineering polymer shell is contoured to slide across fabric with minimal clothing noise, making it a go-to choice when the mic must disappear under wardrobe without compromising intelligibility. The immersible construction handles perspiration, makeup, and exposure to moisture that would sideline lesser mics mid-show.
Three frequency response options let the engineer optimize the EMW for the job at hand: shelved for standard lavalier placement, peaked for behind-clothing concealment where clothing absorption rolls off the highs, or flat for instrument miking. Available with a standard Hirose 4 pin connector or a screw-down cH-style Hirose 4 pin for transmitters requiring a locking connection, and in five colors to blend with a wide range of skin tones and wardrobe. The Aramid-reinforced Duramax cable resists the repeated stress of daily production use where cable failure is not an option.
Where competing lavaliers force a compromise between concealability and audio quality, the EMW maintains an extremely uniform omnidirectional pattern across the full frequency range, keeping the off-axis coloration consistent regardless of how the mic is routed under clothing. Each unit ships with tie cable clips, a Viper clip, a windscreen, and a carrying case, giving the production team what it needs to place the mic cleanly from the first day on set.
