The ACTION-508A from DAS Audio is an 8", 2-way powered point source speaker that's an ideal solution for fixed installations and portable PA applications alike.
A small unit that’s packed with power, the ACTION-508A from DAS Audio’s ACTION-500 speaker series is an 8 inch, 2-way point source speaker. This system is specifically engineered to fit a wide range of applications, from fixed installation sound systems to portable PA. Lightweight and compact, the ACTION-508A is a versatile solution for touring, while its low-profile build makes it an easy fit into any size of studio or permanent stage setup.
Combining a 720 Wpeak Class D amplifier with an innovative 8” transducer (8GV) and the MI-34 compression driver (1.5 cm diameter), the ACTION-508A is capable of outstanding power efficiency, both in terms of power consumption and audio power (122 dB SPL). Its DAScontrol™ interface uses a high-range 24-bit DSP and rear LCD screen, giving you access to a selection of presets, EQ modes, delay, gain control, and signal source mix.
The ACTION-508A features a rotatable horn with 90º (horizontal coverage) x 60º (vertical coverage) dispersion. This allows the speaker to be used not only vertically but also rotated to a horizontal orientation to be used in a fixed installation, as a stage monitor, or even as a front fill.
A versatile solution for touring, the ACTION-508A is an ideal addition to any size of studio or permanent stage setup. It’s great for sound reinforcement in live performance venues, bands, DJs, music playback, A/V systems, conferences, and presentation. It delivers particularly awesome audio quality to speech and vocals.
The ACTION-508A is built with the same attention to detail and commitment to high-quality construction as the entirety of DAS Audio’s product line. All systems are developed to live up to their core philosophy of stringent quality standards in both the individual materials they use and the overall design. The entire ACTION-500 series uses birch plywood construction for a tight, natural, and warm sound.
