The Electro-Voice MTS-4153 is a full-range horn-loaded point source loudspeaker built for applications that demand substantial output, controlled coverage, and long-distance projection. Its design combines four 15" woofers with dual coaxial mid/high-frequency compression drivers to produce very high peak SPL while maintaining consistent directivity across the listening area. The MTS-4153 is offered in multiple coverage formats, including 60° x 40° and 40° x 30°, allowing system selection to match room geometry and throw requirements. Electro-Voice also rates all MTS loudspeakers to IP55, supporting use in installations where resistance to dust and water ingress matters.
A key part of the design is Electro-Voice’s dual lossless Hydra waveform converter feeding a large constant directivity waveguide. This approach supports pattern control to below 350 Hz and helps the system behave as a true point source with notable low-frequency authority.
