The ETC UFD is a single-channel dimmer designed for installed lighting systems that need compact DMX-controlled line dimming at the point of load. Built for junction box mounting, it suits projects where discreet control is needed for individual fixtures or small zones in spaces such as meeting rooms, hospitality venues, classrooms, retail environments, and worship facilities. With support for 120 or 277 VAC models, the UFD fits a range of commercial and institutional electrical infrastructures.

Control and setup are flexible for integrators and technicians working in managed lighting networks. The unit supports USITT DMX512-A and RDM, allowing addressing and remote configuration through compatible ETC and third-party controllers. Local setup is also available through the onboard button interface and LED indicators, which helps during commissioning or service calls. The optically isolated DMX input and integrated DMX/RDM termination support reliable signal handling in distributed installations.

For load handling, ETC offers both phase-adaptive and forward phase variants. The phase-adaptive version defaults to reverse phase and can automatically switch to forward phase depending on load type, while the forward phase model is intended for magnetic loads. This makes the UFD a practical solution for applications using tungsten, line-voltage LED, electronic low voltage, incandescent, fluorescent, and other general-purpose lighting or plug loads within its rated capacity.
