The Solidcom C1-8S delivers true wireless intercom for broadcast, live event, and film production teams requiring secure voice coordination across dispersed crew positions. Operating in the 1.9GHz DECT band, the system eliminates interference from Wi-Fi and other 2.4GHz devices while maintaining line-of-sight range up to 1,000 feet. Each headset integrates battery, transceiver, and audio processing in a single unit worn on the head, freeing operators from body-worn belt packs.
Dual-antenna diversity on every headset ensures continuous connection in RF-dense environments such as stadiums, convention centers, and outdoor venues. The directional microphone design isolates the operator's voice from ambient noise, while wideband audio reproduction and acoustic echo cancellation preserve intelligibility during overlapping conversation. All eight headsets charge simultaneously in the included case, supporting 10-hour runtime for remote units and 5–6 hours for the master when managing a full crew.
The system ships ready for immediate deployment with one master headset, seven remote units, dual batteries per headset, leather and foam ear cushion options, and a ruggedized storage case. Expansion to nine total users with AB group routing requires the optional hub accessory, allowing directors to segment communication between camera operators, audio engineers, and stage crew.
