The K&M 23781 microphone fishing pole is built for location recording engineers, broadcast crews, and production teams who need a reliable, portable boom that minimizes operator fatigue without sacrificing rigidity. Carbon construction keeps the pole light enough for extended handheld use while maintaining the stiffness required for consistent mic placement in dialogue and field recording situations.
The 4-piece folding design collapses to a compact size for bag and kit transport, making it a practical choice for run-and-gun ENG work, documentary production, and stage boom operation. The continuously adjustable length spans a wide range to cover everything from close-up dialogue capture to over-set reach, and the three clamping levers with K&M's locking system allow fast, secure length changes without fumbling. Internal cable routing keeps the signal path clean and eliminates cable slap noise that plagues external-routed alternatives.
A 3/8" threaded connector provides broad compatibility with professional mic clips and shock mounts. The included carrying case protects the pole during transit and keeps it organized inside a larger kit bag, a practical detail that separates this pole from bare-bones alternatives that ship without any protection.
