The Lowell LUH-15TA is a 15W ceiling or wall paging horn designed for permanent commercial and institutional installs where reliable voice communications and general signaling are required. Its aluminum housing with a moisture-seal cover supports deployment in brick, concrete block, plaster, drywall, or acoustic tile surfaces, whether recessed or surface-mounted, indoors or outdoors. This breadth of mounting compatibility makes it a consistent specification across mixed-construction facilities such as schools, warehouses, healthcare campuses, and municipal buildings.
The built-in transformer accepts 25V, 70V, and 100V distributed audio systems as well as an 8-ohm bypass, with screwdriver-adjustable taps that simplify level setting during commissioning. Two-wire hookup connects to a pigtail in a UL-approved junction box or through the waterproof gland-type cable fitting, keeping field wiring straightforward. The LUH-15TA also accepts an EIA standard 8-inch speaker grille as a retrofit, and the UL listing remains valid in that configuration, extending the horn's serviceability across renovation projects.
The included fine-perforation press-fit aluminum grille snaps in without visible hardware for a clean finished appearance while providing physical protection against nesting birds and insects. A trim ring is also included for a polished surround at the installation surface. Installers who prefer to source their own grille and trim ring separately can reference model LUH-15TX.
