The LD Systems LDS-MAILACOL is a powered MAILA column module designed for flexible sound reinforcement in portable and installed applications. It combines integrated loudspeakers with onboard DSP amplification in a single column element, making it suitable for MAILA configurations that need added low-mid presence and scalable deployment options. In practical use, it supports both ground-stacked systems and flown array builds, giving production teams and integrators more ways to adapt coverage to the room, audience area, or event format.
This module is built around four 6.5" woofers and a 4-channel DSP amplifier with 2.5 kW total output power. It can drive the column itself and power up to eight MAILA SAT satellites through SmartLink+® cable-free connection, helping streamline system assembly. LogoLink® places wireless antennas within the LD logo for app-based access, while DSP control can be handled directly on the device or through the free MAILA app for iPadOS. That workflow is especially useful when preparing systems for festivals, high-coverage ground stacks, or fixed installations where fast adjustment and component recognition matter.
