The GB406 Align Controller delivers infrastructure consolidation for professional AV-over-IP deployments that demand sub-microsecond synchronization without external timing hardware. Built on an Intel octa-core x7809 processor with 16 GB DDR5 RAM and Ubuntu platform architecture, it runs NETGEAR Engage locally while hosting third-party applications through Docker containerization. Eight 2.5G PoE++ ports and dual 25G SFP28 uplinks provide switching capacity for device management and high-bandwidth media transport in broadcast studios, sports venues, and campus installations.
Onboard IEEE 1588 PTPv2 grandmaster and boundary clock functionality supports SMPTE ST 2110, ST 2059-2, AES67, and gPTP AVB timing standards across mixed-vendor environments. Integrated DHCP, DNS, NTP, and Syslog servers eliminate the need for separate network appliances in rack-limited control rooms. PoE++ Type 4 power input removes dedicated circuit requirements, while the included AC adapter serves as failover redundancy. Half-width form factor allows dual-unit side-by-side mounting in one rack space using the supplied pairing kit.
Optional Premium License enables secure remote browser access to the full Engage Controller interface from any location. Existing Engage sites and device configurations migrate directly from PC or VM installations with no reconfiguration.
