With 8x2.5G PoE++ ports and up to 551W of total PoE budget via up to three APS254W power adapters, this switch can drive power-hungry AV endpoints including cameras, AV-over-IP encoders, and networked audio devices without a separate power injector. The half-width form factor allows one or two units to occupy a single rack space, a genuine advantage in tight equipment racks common to live production and broadcast installations.
