The saddlebag form factor lets it drape evenly across a stand base or pipe, distributing weight without shifting under load. Heavy-duty double zippers secure each compartment independently, so the bag stays closed during transport and repositioning.
The shell is fabricated from durable Cordura-style nylon, which resists abrasion on stage floors and in truck bays better than standard canvas alternatives. A reinforced webbing handle runs across the top and wraps the full perimeter, giving the bag structural integrity when hoisted or carried fully loaded. An ID pocket on the exterior lets production teams label bags by production, department, or stand number, which matters on multi-day installs and touring shows.
Bags ship empty and must be filled on-site. Clean dry sand is the standard fill, and a plastic liner bag is recommended to prevent moisture absorption. Steel shot or pea gravel in sealed bags are also compatible fills for productions where sand is impractical.
