QSC AD-S28Tw AcousticDesign Surface Mount Subwoofer

Supplement your sound system and extend your low-frequency with the AD-S28Tw Surface Mount Subwoofer from QSC’s AcousticDesign Series. Built for maximum compatibility with the AD Series ceiling- and surface-mount speakers, this sub is rated for 250W continuous power handling and is capable of up to 700W peaks.

The AD-S28Tw’s bandpass enclosure features two chambers: one of which is completely sealed, while the other chamber features a large port. This bandpass allows for tight precise bass with extension down to 36 Hz, producing a 1W at 1m sensitivity of 94 dB SPL. The sub also boasts a built-in passive low-pass filter set at 120 Hz.

Made to handle the most humid environments, the AD-S28Tw’s dual 8" woofers are equipped with polypropylene cones, and enclosed in marine-grade plywood. The sub’s grille is zinc-plated steel with black foam backing to protect the interior components and is surrounded by ABS endcaps and finished with a rotatable logo.

The rear of the AD-S28Tw houses an input cup with a hinged door to conceal the controls and connections. Inside this door, input and output nickel-plated screw terminals accept wiring from 18 AWG (1.02 mm) to 12 AWG (2.053 mm). Also found in the input cup are two rotary switches: one that selects between the 70V/100V transformer taps, and the other which enables or disables the internal passive low-pass filter.

The AD-S28Tw’s attached rubber feet are for standing the sub on a floor or shelf, while forged-shoulder eyebolts and a steel yoke are also included for suspension mounting.
