Designed for vocalists and instrumentalists who need to integrate guitar effects pedals into their signal chain, the Voco-Loco MK2 combines a high-performance microphone preamplifier with a transparent effects loop controller. This single-space solution accepts XLR or 1/4" input from condenser or dynamic microphones, delivers 48V phantom power when needed, and routes the optimized signal through your pedalboard before returning to the main mix output. Tour-ready 14-gauge steel construction protects internal circuitry during transport and stage use.
Separate send and return level controls let you drive pedals at their optimal operating point while managing noise floor and headroom independently. A wet/dry mix control blends the processed and unprocessed signals, preserving articulation and intelligibility even with heavy effects chains. The tone shift control compensates for overly bright pedal voicing, ensuring natural tonal balance across brass, woodwind, and vocal applications. Both XLR and 1/4" outputs provide flexible connectivity to FOH consoles, monitor systems, or recording interfaces.
Field-proven Class-A FET input circuitry maintains 100dB dynamic range and sub-0.005% distortion across the full 20Hz to 20kHz bandwidth. Compatibility with standard 9V to 18V pedalboard power supplies eliminates the need for separate wall adapters on multi-device rigs. Input pad, polarity reverse, and ground lift switches address gain staging and hum elimination in demanding live and installed environments.
