The sE4100 Matched-Pair brings professional large-diaphragm condenser performance to touring sound engineers, studio tracking specialists, and live production teams who need reliable overhead and spot-mic solutions without pattern-switching complexity. Built as the cardioid-only version of the acclaimed sE4400, this pair combines classic warm character with modern roadworthy durability—hand-crafted twin 1" gold-sputtered brass capsules paired with die-cast all-metal housings, metal switches, and rugged spring steel mesh grilles.
Each microphone is individually tuned in-house and sonically matched to ensure virtually identical frequency response, essential for balanced stereo overhead pairs and consistent instrument placement. Integrated 80/160 Hz low-cut filters and switchable -10/-20 dB attenuation pads address proximity effect, excessive low-frequency rumble, and loud source management without requiring external processing. The innovative close-miking shockmount and flat, round-edged chassis enable flexible placement—centered in shock for isolation, flat against drum heads or guitar cabs, or overhead rigs—while protecting against footfall noise and rumble.
Purpose-built for live touring and demanding studio sessions, the sE4100 Matched-Pair handles vocals, orchestral strings, drum overheads, electric guitar cabinets, pianos, acoustic guitars, woodwinds, and brass with exceptional clarity and presence across 20 Hz–20 kHz. Maximum SPL capability reaches 157 dB with both pads engaged, accommodating close-miking of high-impact sources. Includes metal carrying case, stereo bar, two custom shockmounts, and thread adapters.
