Each microphone features a titanium-sputtered dual-diaphragm capsule that is three times lighter and significantly stiffer than traditional gold-sputtered designs, resulting in quicker transient response essential for drums, percussion, orchestral recordings, and other instruments with fast attack characteristics. The matched pair is rigorously tested and sonically tuned in-house to ensure virtually identical frequency response between both units, providing the balanced, consistent stereo imaging required for overhead miking, room ambience capture, and paired instrument recording.
Built with roadworthy construction including die-cast all-metal housing, metal polar pattern switches, and rugged spring steel mesh grille, the T2 withstands the demands of both permanent studio installation and daily touring use. Four selectable polar patterns—cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-eight—enable precision miking techniques to isolate desired sources and minimize unwanted bleed. Dual low-cut filters at 40 Hz and 80 Hz combined with switchable -10 dB and -20 dB attenuation pads provide extended dynamic range and control for loud sources including drums, brass, and guitar amplifiers. The custom suspension shockmount with flat, round-edged chassis design allows flush mounting against drum heads or cabinet surfaces while protecting against low-end rumble and footfall noise.
Each matched pair arrives complete with a stereo mounting bar, dual shockmounts with thread adapters, and protective metal case—everything needed for immediate deployment in tracking sessions or live broadcast applications.
