The TOA A-9120SM2 CU is a 2U rack-mount modular matrix mixer and power amplifier built for permanent installed audio environments such as corporate facilities, houses of worship, retail spaces, and educational campuses. Its open modular architecture accepts TOA 9000 Series and legacy 900 Series input modules across up to eight slots, letting integrators tailor the I/O configuration to each project without committing to a fixed-format chassis. The onboard 120W power amplifier supports direct 4-ohm loads as well as 25V and 70V distributed speaker lines, covering both foreground and background audio applications from a single unit.

Signal processing is handled entirely within the unit, eliminating the need for outboard DSP in most installations. Each input and output channel supports up to 12 filters plus a compressor, a 10-band parametric equalizer, high-pass and low-pass filters at 12 dB per octave, tone control, and delay up to 40ms. Thirty TOA loudspeaker EQ presets are stored onboard, accelerating commissioning time significantly. Settings are saved across 32 scene memories and 32 paging memories, which can be recalled from front-panel keys or triggered via the four contact-closure control inputs. RS-232C connectivity on a D-sub port enables third-party control from AMX, Crestron, or any RS-232-capable controller, making this unit a practical choice for integrators who need reliable, programmable system control without adding a separate DSP or control processor.
