The TOA HX-7 series targets installed sound engineers and system integrators who need precise, consistent coverage in acoustically challenging environments such as large worship spaces, transportation terminals, convention centers, and performance halls with long reverberation times or elevated background noise. The 2-way design combines eight low-frequency cone drivers with four isophasic wavefront control horn-loaded compression drivers, giving the system both the output to fill large volumes and the HF clarity required for speech intelligibility in difficult rooms.
What separates the HX-7 from conventional line arrays and passive column speakers is the four-module architecture, which allows each module to be adjusted independently so the vertical dispersion angle can be optimized for a specific throw distance or seating geometry without replacing hardware. A dedicated 0-degree mode enables a true line array configuration when maximum pattern control is the priority. This flexibility makes the HX-7 equally viable as a primary hang in a fixed installation or as a flown delay system supplementing a larger rig. The speaker is designed strictly for indoor applications and ships with hanging brackets for both left and right positions, simplifying rigging on first install.
The HX-7 is available in black or white polypropylene enclosures, allowing the cabinet to integrate cleanly into both dark-painted rigging environments and light-finished architectural interiors. Speakon NL4MPXX connectors and a secondary M4 screw terminal provide flexible signal connection options for permanent wiring runs.
