The TOA M-8080D-AM is an 8x8 digital matrix mixer engineered specifically for commercial audio applications including background music distribution, paging, discussion systems, and multi-zone management. It targets AV integrators and system designers who need reliable, scalable routing with onboard DSP, not a live-sound console. The combination of EQ, compressor, ducker, feedback suppressor, delay, and priority-setting tools addresses the full DSP workload of a managed installation without requiring external processing.

Scalability is a core strength of this platform. The base 8x8 configuration expands to 12x12 with optional accessory modules, and an optional Dante interface card opens the unit to networked audio environments where IP-based distribution is required. For control integration, a Crestron module suite is available, making the M-8080D-AM a practical fit for boardrooms, houses of worship, hospitality venues, and any facility already running a Crestron ecosystem. Two RD ports carry both AES3 digital audio and control data simultaneously, connecting dedicated remote panels, input modules, and paging microphones over shielded CAT5e or better cable runs up to 100 meters.

DHCP support on the network port simplifies initial commissioning, and the PC-based GUI provides an intuitive interface for routing, DSP configuration, and remote management without requiring specialized programming knowledge. Two contact closure inputs and two relay outputs add logic-level control integration for room automation or paging triggers. The aluminum and steel rack-mount chassis occupies a single rack unit, keeping the footprint minimal in equipment rooms where space is consistently at a premium.
