The TOA M-9000M2 CU is a modular digital matrix mixer built for permanent AV installations where flexibility, signal processing depth, and third-party control integration are non-negotiable. System integrators and installed sound engineers can configure the unit with up to 8 input and 8 output channels by selecting from TOA 9000 series modules or legacy 900 series input modules, allowing a single platform to serve conference rooms, lecture halls, houses of worship, and multi-zone commercial facilities alike.

Onboard signal processing covers the full chain required for professional sound reinforcement: a 10-band parametric equalizer with 31-point frequency selection, high-pass and low-pass filters, speaker EQ with 30 TOA speaker presets built into the setup software, per-channel compression, and up to 40 ms of delay in mixer mode. All parameters are set directly at the mixer and stored in 32 scene memories, retrievable from the front panel without a connected PC. Settings persistence and key lock prevent accidental changes in occupied venues.

For control integration, the M-9000M2 CU provides RS-232C connectivity compatible with Crestron and AMX systems, four contact-closure control inputs, four open-collector control outputs, and two remote volume channels. Up to 16 remote panels can be connected via the RC-001T control module, and panels can be cascaded for distributed zone control. The aluminum front panel and steel chassis support 2U rack installation, with a rack-mount bracket kit included in the box.
