The TOA SR-T5 is a 2-way line array speaker designed specifically for installed audio applications in high-reverberation environments such as gymnasiums, indoor arenas, and multi-purpose sports facilities. Its vertically arranged woofer and tweeter configuration produces tightly controlled vertical dispersion of 35 degrees, keeping sound on the audience plane and minimizing energy that excites reflective surfaces. The result is intelligible speech and clear program audio even in spaces where conventional point-source speakers struggle with wash and smear.
Systems integrators specifying for small to medium indoor sports facilities will find the SR-T5 well suited as a main loudspeaker. The plywood enclosure with impact-resistant construction tolerates the physical demands of a gymnasium environment, including exposure to errant balls and contact during installation and maintenance. A 96 dB sensitivity rating at 8 ohms means the speaker works efficiently with standard installed-sound amplifiers, and the internal passive crossover eliminates the need for a separate active processor or additional amplifier channels. The 100-degree horizontal coverage pattern supports wide audience coverage from a single hang point, and the downward angle is adjustable at the factory-supplied mounting bracket for site-specific aim. An optional SR-PB5 Wall Pan Bracket adds horizontal pan adjustment when layout demands it, and the optional MT-S0601 Matching Transformer enables high-impedance distributed system integration.
