The TOA TS-822 Y is a delegate unit designed for use within the TOA TS-820 infrared wireless conference system. Its cordless infrared design eliminates cabling at delegate positions, making it practical for temporary installations, boardroom configurations, and multi-room conference environments where flexible setup and teardown are required. The unit can run on either the optional AD-0910 AC adapter or the BP-900A rechargeable lithium-ion battery, giving integrators the choice of fixed or portable power depending on the installation context.

For AV integrators and conference system operators, the TS-822 Y addresses a common challenge in delegate-level conference systems: providing individual audio monitoring without compromise. Two 3.5 mm headphone jacks with independent volume controls allow two participants to share a delegate position while maintaining personal audio levels. A 0.2W built-in monitor speaker supports open listening when headphones are not in use. The unit accepts optional dedicated microphones including the standard TS-923 or long-type TS-924, giving operators flexibility based on table layout and participant positioning. A battery life indicator and speech indicator LED keep both participants and operators informed of system status throughout the session.
